Sorry, Ken. I tried to open your links, but as I expected they were so far
to the left that they slid right off my screen.

Seven whining losers, two surrender monkies, and one useless hag who
couldn't even control her lying, carousing husband (let alone an entire
country), are the best the left has to offer this country in '04! Not worth
discussing! No decent political discourse this year, I guess.

For you lefties who recognize the futility of your attempt to push socialism
down our throats, I suggest you go directly to the heart of your favorite
worker's paradise for inspiration. Try these links:

Lurking here in rofb I've noticed an interest in politics and
the Constitution. Here's a link to think about:

In the same vein here's the straight dope on a Usenet post that's
been making the rounds lately.

I posted two links, one to the conservative columnist Georgie Anne Geyer's
column of Oct. 16, and another to a quote from a book written by former
President George Bush and Brent Scowcroft.

Which of those three personages would you consider to be "far to the left"?

For you lefties ...

Thanks Bob, you're always thinking of others, you sweetheart, you. ;-)

BTW, I'm gonna be moving my Mom back to your neck of the woods this
spring. my Dad passed last week down in Alabama and as soon as we sell
the house down there in the spring I'll be ready to dump you out of ...
er, take you out in my canoe. ;-)

Before saying anything else, follow the links and read them. I think you were
right to start with.

When it comes time to sort through the fishing tackle I'll request
suggestions from ROFB for worthy groups who could make use of it.
I know he has a couple of meticulously maintained Ambassadeur 5000's
that he was never able to teach me to use. ;-)

Sorry for your loss Ken. I still have the original cane pole my late father
bought for me. Believe me, your dad will be with you every time you take a
kid
fishing with you. As a former Boy Scout leader I can tell you they still
have a fishing merit badge. Think of them for donations. Joe Z.

From: Ken Fortenberry:

column

From her bio: "What do Yasser Arafat, Anwar Sadat, King Hussein, Moammar
Gadhafi, and the Ayatollah Khomeini have in common? They all have been
interviewed by Universal Press Syndicate's foreign correspondent Georgie Anne
Geyer.

"Her "definitive biography" of Fidel Castro, Guerrilla Prince,"

Yep, a real outstanding conservative - standing way to the left. Fidel is a
"Prince?" And what did she say about those wonderful folks Arafat, Gadhafi,
and Khomeini?

You think Georgie Anne Geyer stands "way to the left" ?!? Hilarious.
And if you really want to know what she has to say about Arafat et al,
all you have to do is read it.

Check this one out, and notice that Ms. Geyer is on the other side;

That article is an interesting rant by Ted Rall who says "America is under
attack, and Bush is enemy number one." but I did not see any mention of
Georgie Anne Geyer in it.

I did find her listed in the block of "conservative" writers but in scanning
some of her articles all I see are calls for more control by the UN of what the
US does, digs at the Bush administration, and statements like "Despite the
myriad voices in the press insisting, "Iraq is not a Vietnam!" the indisputable
fact is that, if you consider the passions and principles applied there, it
really IS another Vietnam."

She is a conservative like Jim Jeffords was a Republican.
