Steve,
Does the offer stand for me as well???? I will bring them up to the NWC :-D "Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers" wrote in message ... "Charles Summers" wrote in message ... You know the only reason I don't have these on my boat? I'm not brave enough to start hacking up my fiberglass! Now, if someone else would do it for me... and I didn't have to watch... that would be alot easier. LOL Bring the ol' Nitro on up Charles, I'll put them in for you. Heck, I owned the Cobra less than 24 hours when I went after it with a drill and a Sawzall! We can do it either before or after the NWC. -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |

The key with cutting holes in fiberglass is to not leave corners - round
holes are the way to go. Warren "Charles Summers" wrote in message ... You know the only reason I don't have these on my boat? I'm not brave enough to start hacking up my fiberglass! Now, if someone else would do it for me... and I didn't have to watch... that would be alot easier. LOL When I was still a young, single man, I had a 71 Chevrolet Cheyenne truck that was my pride and joy. My roommate at that time worked in the upholstery business and suggested that we install a sunroof. All it would cost me was the price of the sunroof and lunch! Ten seconds of watching him drive a chisel through the top of my truck was all I could stand! I left and didn't come back into it was all over. I know with these buckles you can use the little attachment thing, but flush mount look like the way to go. I'm sure I'd stump a toe and fall overboard, eventually. "Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers" wrote in message ... "Chris Rennert" wrote in message news ![]() Running in Saturday afternoon after a good day on the water we were greated by rain and very choppy water created from constant pleasure boat traffic. Now usually it is not a problem seeing the wakes created by those boats but the combination of gray skies, along with the rain in my eyes and about 60mph ( I know , slow down) I didn't see a wake that was created by 2 boats crossing and hit it wide open we ended only turning about 10 degrees but it was enough to launch 2 of my baitcasters overboard. One we found floating (thank god graphite is so light ) and the other (a Lamiglass rod I tied up with a 100B baby bantam) could not be recovered :-(. That is about a $230 lesson I learned.. SLOW DOWN! Hey Chris, Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I had to learn the same lesson before I got smart. Take a look at http://www.ospreyproducts.com/rodbuckle.ivnu and seriously consider buying a pair. Easy to install, they're worth their price and I believe that you can get them at Gander Mountain. Then......you don't have to slow down! ;-) -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |

I bought the little rubber ones and just had to drill four holes, hidden in
the carpeting. My boat isn't really long enough to have several rods laying on the front deck. "go-bassn" wrote in message ... The key with cutting holes in fiberglass is to not leave corners - round holes are the way to go. Warren |
