Golf is very analogous to fly fishing as far as equipment goes. You
can pay and play with as little or as much as you'd like. I play golf with a 25-year old set. I just got into fly fishing and really like getting new "stuff". Someone said, fly fishing is 20% about fishing and 80% about getting more new "stuff". I don't golf as much as I think it requires to much "dedicated time". I can go fishing and quit in 30 minutes if I don't like the weather or whatever. Golf- once you pay you have to play. Speaking of pay- I pay $42.50 for a non-resident PA fishing license for the entire year. That's one round of golf (about 4 hours, unless it's a weekend on a public course, in that case it's 7 or 8 hours). |
