Does anyone build their own leaders?

A one foot long leader does sound pretty simple. g

I don't know about that. It would be pretty tough to fit five or six
segments in that 12". The advantage would be that it's just GOTTA be
less prone to wind knots.

He said he bought them, not made them. Extruding a 1' tapered leader wouldn't
be that hard.
