Andrew, did you see the customer reviews at the bottom of that page?

"For most do it yourself types of repairs, this manual is a great
help, but I would not use it if I was rebuilding a lower unit."

Just my luck.. :-/ Thanks for trying.

I don't know about the Force manual, but I used the evinrude from Clymer,
and it had great detail on how to re-build the lower unit... But do you
really need it, or not? Sounds like you were pulling our leg???? Or does
it?

LOL Yeah, I was pulling your leg.. Charles didn't respond when I
offered to help with his, so I thought I'd have a little fun..

I have a seloc manual, and I had a clymer for my old boat.
These lower units aren't real complicated compared to stuff I've
worked on in 16 years of doin anything from working at a volvo dealer
to being crew chief on a late model stock car.. I still read the book
before working on my boat motor. I'm not an outboard technician and
it's always good to familiarize yourself with the proper procedure
before diving into something. As far as which manual is better, they
both have their shortcomings.

Sorry if I wasted too much of your time in replying to my prank. When
I read the customer review on the clymer manual I thought you knew I
was kidding around. I've been reading your posts for several years
now off and on, You have my upmost respect, as most everyone here
does.

Re-read my initial post at the beginning of this thread, I think
you'll get a chuckle in light of the truth.
