Thank you Roger. That's a start. I've been working with Google, but
have not yet found a boat building site that sells blueprints--Swedish,
Finnish or Norweigian, or whatever. That's what I want: blueprints.
That looks like a damn fine boat.

Is there a name for that boat? How can I find out how to build one?

They are called river boats here in Finland too. I did find a PDF-file
with instructions and drawings - unfortunately the text is in Finnish,
but maybe a boat builder like you can make some sense of the obscure
drawings:

Thank you Jarmo. That's a start. I can't read the text,
but numbers and numbers. I can see from the drawings
what's going on. This seems to be much like a long
skinny dory at both ends, stretched apart by a flat
spot in the middle. That's seems to be the distinguishing
characteristic of this boat..........the only way to make a looooong
dory that doesn't end up shaped like a bananna.
