Tying madly (and if you've seen my flies, that makes sense).
Contest: If anyone wants to donate nasty flies to the "Frank's Jug-O-Flies" fishing contest, bring them along to Penns. If you aren't coming and would still like to donate flies, email me for my address. I will ensure the flies get in there. I will pick out three flies from the jug. One wet (nymph, wet..), one dry, and one "other." At least one person shall get a "rotten banana stone fly." The three flies will go in a little numbered plastic tub. You will pick a number out of a hat and get the corresponding tub. You have 2 hours from the moment you cast your first fly in the area of Blue Rock Hole on Tuesday (this time must be announced to the general populace, i.e. scream "I can't cast this pig." If one of the flies falls appart in course of the competition, life sucks (then again, a bare hook may be the best answer). If you loose a fly, no replacements will be given. Who the hell said life is fair? Prizes for biggest fish and most fish in the 2 hour period. All fish must be verified by one other attendee. Time will end at least 2 hours before the spinner fall. By the way, if the drake spinners are dropping, the Hungarian barley stew may be late. Anyone got any venison, bear, elk, moose to go in the stew? By the way, who has the nasty fly hat? -- Frank Reid Euthenize to respond |

By the way, the "Duck Butt Award 2004" is now the Duck Butt Award 2005."
The award was not given in 2004 so will be carried over. -- Frank Reid Euthenize to respond |

is that the green pig hat? i've often wondered where that thing got to...did we give it to the swede?... it was at the first roff clave in 1999 in swain/graham county, nc, and i hope it attends many more. Swede may indeed have the green pig hat. jeff (and when is the jug-fly fishing scheduled?) Tuesday. |
