Default Any experience with the Sage SLT 5wt handling Sink tip line?

The subject line really tells it all folks. I am wondering if this rod
(Sage SLT 5wt) can handle a sink tip line with any facility or should I
be looking at the 6wt? Also what functional diference do you think
there is between the 8.6 foot vs the 9.0 Foot SLTs?

Thanks in advance for any shared experience in this regard.

Mostly depends on the type of fishing you're doing. Assuming you're
looking at general trout fishing with reasonably sized and reasonably
weighted flies, a WF5 sink tip will be fine on that rod. If you're
expecting to do a lot of fishing under really windy conditions, or for
unusually large fish, or with large heavily weighted flies, then you might
want to go with a heavier rod.

None worth worrying about.

You might try overlining the 5wt with a 6wt sink tip. I have a 6wt bug
taper that I use on a 5wt and it works well with heavy flies.
