Can a Class I hitch use a 2" ball?

I have a small moped and I found a really good deal on a nice looking
trailer to tow it with. Problem is, I have a class I hitch and the
new trailer would need a 2" ball. Would that work? The hitch says it
can tow up to 2,000lb with my car, and it would not exceed the weight
limit. Just don't know if the ball would fit the hitch. Thanks,

Sure will work,, just get the right stud size when you buy that 2 inch ball.

Every trailer today under a certain weight has a 2 inch ball,, the old 1
7/8 has been discontinued by everyone,, it's just not needed
