Default State Budget vs F&W

Well here we go...as of Monday the Pequest Hatchery & Eduction Center
will be closed on Saturday & Sunday, in part because of the budget and
in part because of staffing. A full time employee is out on medical
leave and they can't hire a temp replacement because of the budget.

The commish of DEP has informed F&W their budget will be reduced by
$850,000 dollars in general funds and 150,000 in funds for black bear
education. The aren't sure if this will reult in layoffs. The Parks
Department is losing over 2 million, because it relies on general funds
for its intire budget.

Sportsman have to start contacting the commissioner's office demanding
the the Hunting & Angling Funds ONLY be used for those things that
support Hunting and Fishing, and that no License Fees or Funds from the
Hunting & Anglers Fund be used for the Commissioner's non-lethal
agenda:guns:.
