Now wait a minute. I don't smoke trout, just salmon and whitefish. ;-)

That's a good one, but *damn* Willi, those are a couple of mighty nice sized
trout you got a hold of there!

BTW, I think the 11th one of Danl's -- the only one without a fish or a
fisherman -- is very fine. He caught the timing and the angle of the
light perfectly. The color is muted and subtle.

Nearly everyone at this Clave was taking photographs, and (AFAIK) they
were ALL using digital cameras.

I haven't received photos from Chas and Pecos Bob.

Fine shot of the river bed rock bared. Strong sense of time and place.

Excellent. I really like the one that appears as a black-and-white over the rock
formations in the shallows. 'Course I'm partial to pics of water with no
roffians screwing up the view.

Good job, all photographers.

Terrific images. I especially like those with the flying snow - makes me
feel like I'm on the water. And it's good to see photos of ROFFians - that
way I don't have to look on the post office wall. :-)

your image of the insects amid the mung and drool was very well
contrived and executed.
i also liked "snow flying" and the fact that you captured someone
actually in the process of catching a fish.
thanks to all for sharing their pictures.

Thanks RW and to all who struggled with those "digital" cameras. ( only seem
to shoot digital myself anymore) As always I enjoy the photos of the claves.

One neat thing I have found when a river is quite low is that I can
photo/map areas that have little places that I may have not previously
considered, but have "feeding" channels that the fish know very well. Heh .
.. .heh . . .of course it helps if ya can fish the same place amongst varying
flows to watch the impact of the flows on fish behavior.

Thanks to all again to let me "visit" the clave.
