Fly-tying ROFFians,
I was wondering what the latest word is on how many flies we should tie for the big swap. I know there has been talk from the new swapmeister(s) of limiting it to 25, and I've already got 25+ of my pattern tied, but I need to know if I should keep going or not. Chuck Vance (who's starting to wonder if he should have tied glo-bugs instead of PMD cripples) |

Yeah - it would *almost* tempt some to wait for an official announcement, eh? ;-) -- TL, Tim ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj |

According to the new, new swapmeister, he's arrived at some magic that will allow all willing participants while keeping the number of flies tied to a manageable number. Damned smarty-pants engineers! ![]() -- TL, Tim who is breaking out his ol' slide rule should it become a requirement for the swap. ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj |

Read: Keep going! If you already have 25+ done BEFORE the swap is even officially announced, there is no damn reason why you can't do 60! Well, yeah ... except I'll probably run out of #16 hooks and proper-sized hackle for the d*mn*d things. ;-) Perhaps we can make it optional to be in *both* groups if that may be the case??????? G I admit that would be tempting, but like someone (Willi?) said, it starts to seem like work after a couple dozen or so. Heck, if it wasn't for the fact that I tie in my workshop with a colebeer by my side, I'd probably have given up long ago. :-) Chuck Vance (not that I'm complaining, mind you ... I'm getting to where I can tie a pretty good Quigley; now I just need to go somewhere where there's a PMD hatch) |
