Superline as backing

I've successfully used Powerpro as backing. 50# is thinner than 20# dacron
and not so thin that it will cut your hands or cause problems with slumping
on the spool.

I' had this happen a couple times a few years back. My kids wouldn't allow
the Norton updates to run so after a short time the version was old enough
