You should tell that to the first guy that posted, not some poor schmuck
that replied several posters later, else it makes you look like the idiot.

FWIW, if you don't realize it, you (and any who respond without trimming
the
headers) are cross-posting to a number of unrelated groups. If you do
realize
it, um, well...carry on, I guess...

HTH

I actually went to the original post and coppied all of the groups back in
just to make my point.

FOR THE RECORD
There are only two groups in this crosspost. Hardly an example of a serious
problem. The larger issue is that the original post has no importance to
either group it was posted to.

Since you took the time to reply politely, I'll make one reply to let you and
anyone else interested on the NASCAR group know what's happening. A poster who
posts on both groups, usually as "Peaceful Bill," apparently got his panties in
a knot about something (I have no idea what about as I generally ignore him -
the few times I've read his posts, they are childish troll-like silliness -
maybe he's just another USENUT) and cross-posted 10-15 random replies, some
inflammatory, to the FFing group and a number of other random groups, although
not all posts went to all groups. Apparently, the FFing group was the only group
they all went to. He used a couple of sockpuppets - "Another Sunny Day" and
"Mine Isn't Yours" - to do it. If you want to see all of it, check out the
FFing group in the header via your news reader/client or here's a Google link
for those not wanting to fool with adding a group to their reader/client,
getting headers, etc.:

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.o...y/topics?hl=en

And with this reply, unless there is something in particular, I'm gonna ignore
this thread past direct replies, if any.

As was obvious to pretty much anyone looking closely, it wasn't me. I
gave you the information, do your homework before spreading your filth
in this direction.

Here's a suggestion: Use whatever freaky avatar names you want on the
whack-job sites where your "friends" play out the radical nonsense.
Some of these folk sound like future convicts but thats your choice.

But be a man and use your real world name on the Fly fishing site. It
makes a big difference.
